The deadline for the position of National Representative within the board of ESN the Netherlands 2016-2017 has been extended to July 4, 23:59 CET. In this position you are one of the board members of ESN the Netherlands, as well as a member of the Council of National Representatives. It is your responsibility to connect the local sections, the ESN country as a whole and the international level of ESN with one another. Within the network the NR voices the needs and interests of ESN the Netherlands and its member sections. During this year, you will work together with the 5 other National Board members to improve ESN the Netherlands and support the local sections in the best way possible. The position is part-time, but requires flexibility and perseverance. Because ESN the Netherlands has no official office you will mostly work from home.

Task description

  • Be the link between the international, national and local level
  • Scrutinize and check the work of the International Board and ESN international’s supporting bodies
  • Collaborate with the CNR and International Board on a joint approach for the strategy and policy making of ESN
  • Work together with fellow NRs on different topics in so-called CNR Working Groups
  • Represent ESN the Netherlands at physical CNR meetings and at international events and provide support to other Dutch participants
  • Responsible for the International Committee
  • Collaborate with the parties involved in the organisation of the Western European Platform and
  • Annual General Meeting from ESN the Netherland’s side
  • Be the go-to person for all network related matters, and motivate and support Dutch ESNers to become active in ESN international

Required skills and expertise

  • Thorough and in-depth understanding of the Network, thus some previous experience in ESN is required
  • Relevant experience in and good knowledge of ESN the Netherlands
  • Interest in ESN national and ESN international
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English
  • Communication skills
