On the 10th of December 2013 our Education Officer, Sara Panis, went to the official release of the new EU programme for education, training, youth and sport: Erasmus+. The day started with an official opening by Freddy Weima of our National Agency: Nuffic. Followed by Leon Wever of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (MinVWS) with a final word of Marietje Schaake, the MEP of D66. But what is the plus in Erasmus+? 10 people from different education, training, youth or sport institutions shared their vision on the added value of Erasmus+. After that there were different briefings on the different Key Actions (KA). In the end Nils Roemen gave an inspiring speech about his initiative 'daretoask' (durftevragen). With a lot of humor he told us how to get what we want and how to make a difference in this world. The final speaker was the Minister Jet Bussemaker with whom Sara had the pleasure to talk to during the drink afterwards. Throughout the day Sara exchanged thoughts, ideas and experiences with Loek Zanders and Jorien Janssen of ISO and the LSVb. It was a very fruitful event.
