Greg Shapiro Presents: Ava Vidal

Greg Shapiro – The American Nederlander – is known from Comedy Central News, BoomChicago, Time Out Amsterdam and BNR Nieuwsradio. Shapiro is now presenting international comedy talent Ava Vidal to the Netherlands on the 13th, 15th, 16th and 18th of March 2012. 

Born in Chicago, Greg Shapiro is living in the Netherlands for almost 20 years – and is now introducing international comedy talent to the Netherlands with ’Greg Shapiro Presents’. Shapiro performs the first half of the evening. The main act is Ava Vidal. 

Ava Vidal comes to the Netherlands with her brand new show ‘Ava Vidal Goes Dutch’. In this show she questions the ideas of community and responsibility. How much should we share? Would the world be a better place if we all were self- sufficient and just took care of ourselves?

With a background that includes having been a teenage single mum, a prison officer, a victim of domestic abuse and a boarding-school rebel, she brings distinctive point of view to her comedy.

Ava Vidal is a regular at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and she has appeared at the Amsterdam Comedy Festival, Da Bounce and Comedy Factory. In England she has also been seen on Mock the Week, The Michael Mc Intyre Comedy Roadshow and on Comedy Central.
