De Heffer

Within walking distance of the central station and Dam square is the beautiful café/restaurant the Heffer situated. The Heffer consists of different areas all worth a visit. This classy and historical building was built in 1637 and is ideal for having lunch, dinner or tasting their many special beers. By showing your ESN card you get a 35% reduction on your drinks and a 35% discount on the so called ‘Brouwersmaal’ (including one drink) and the dish of the day.

Club 8

You know this club from the pool we played there during the ISI days. However, after the ISI Days, Club 8 is still a very nice place to hang out and they offer us some nice discounts. There are regular discounts for parties they host. You can also play FREE pool from Monday to Saturday untill 19.00 and on Sunday the whole day FREE pool. Club 8 also offers an ESN meal for 5 euro! Don't forget to bring your ESN card!

Coco’s Outback, Lousy food and warm beer

Every Wednesday evening from 22.00 till 03.00 Coco’s Outback hosts our International Student Night. Here you can socialize with other students from the VU, UvA and HvA while enjoying a cheap beer or taking shots. Show your ESN card and get nice discounts! For more info, visit: cocosoutback.com.

You might know this dance café from our introduction weekend. This café has many more resting events. On Monday there is open mic, where talented singers perform. On Tuesday you can also sing if you’re not so talented and show your karaoke skills. On other days of the week there are many more interesting events that we’ll promote. The music is 70’s and 80’s, dance, salsa, R & B and mainstream. And… we have a great deal with them! If you bring your ESN card, you get the following discounts: €3,50 for a big beer, small beer €1,50 and wine €2,00 for every day of the week, Friday and Saturday night from 00.00 excluded.
