About us

Originally founded by a handful of Dutch students in 1992, it has since grown into one of the primary caretakers of foreign exchange students at VU University Amsterdam. 

ESN VUniverse is the international student association of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. The mission of ESN is to contribute to the experience of exchange students in Amsterdam by organizing social activities and estabishing links with organizations in order to bridge the gap between students and firms.At the beginning of each semester, ESN organizes the ISI Days (International Student Introduction Days), an introduction through Amsterdam. Other activities can be weekly borrels, hitchkhiking weekends, bowling nights and ice-skating trips, or even city trips and full-fledged weekends into the great outdoors (in the Netherlands or abroad).

Our board consists of 5 enthusiastic Dutch students which also provide a mentoring program to international students. An Activities and PR committee helps us with organizing activities and promoting them. Additionally, they raise funds for sponsoring, establish promotions for our members with different firms and cooperate with partners such as ISN of UvA, Aureus, Financial Study Association Amsterdam and Marteking Association Amsterdam.

We are constantly seeking to establish beneficial partnerships with oganizations and promote these to our students. Whether you are interested in promoting you products/services to out student base or job/internship opportunities, all sponsoring opportunities are welcome.
