Be a ‘Tourist Saves the World’ and (Re) discover Amsterdam!
‘Tourist Save the World’ offers you an adventurous Sustainability ‘Do it yourself’ City Tour with several walking and biking routes through the city centre of Amsterdam. It’s an interactive experience: you’ll visit Amsterdam, explore its’ beautiful monuments while at the same time contribute to the Dutch society.
How does this work? You will get a pick & mix with several routes, touristic attractions and world saving activities to perform on your way. You can choose whatever you would like to do; all activities are optional.
There is a list of 50 activities. Many of these are facilitated by idealistic organizations and NGO’s: such as the foundations We Tap Water, Present, Art of Living, Food Bank and many more. The activities include helping the homeless by serving soup, handing out flowers to 10 friendly strangers, thanking an official on duty or doing some guerilla gardening by planting flower seeds. So, would you like to have fun, explore Amsterdam and perform some ‘good deeds’? Join us! It is up to you how much time you want to spend on the tour, varying from 1 hour to 2 full days. We will provide you with all the instruments you need, including a map, a list of activities, instructions, etc. We will welcome you personally at our office in the centre of Amsterdam.
It is possible to join ‘Tourist Save the World’ every day (9.00 till 18.00 hrs) from the 17th of December 2011 until the 17th January 2012. Costs: 7, 50 € per person (2.50€ discount for ESN students).
